Comparison
Two products with the same job and two different meters
There is no channel argument to make here and no inbox to point at. SiteGPT does what this does: it reads your site or your files and answers from them. So the comparison comes down to what a plan actually buys, and on their side a plan buys a budget you spend on a model choice.
What SiteGPT actually is
SiteGPT describes itself as being like having ChatGPT specifically for your product, answering visitor questions with a chatbot trained on your website content. You train it by entering a URL for it to scan, a sitemap link, YouTube videos, playlists or channels, by uploading files in CSV, TXT, PDF, DOCX, PPTX and MD among other text based formats, or by dropping in raw text. It supports 95 languages, has an Escalate to a Human control that hands the conversation to a live agent at the push of a button, captures leads, sends a daily email summary and a weekly digest that surfaces the questions the chatbot could not answer, and integrates natively with Crisp, Slack and Zendesk. It publishes SOC 2 Type II certification along with GDPR and HIPAA compliance, TLS 1.2 or better, and role based access controls.
The published plans on the date checked were Starter at $59 a month billed monthly or $468 a year, shown as $39 a month; Growth at $129 a month or $948 a year, shown as $79; Scale at $429 a month or $3,108 a year, shown as $259; and Enterprise as custom pricing with up to 10,000 chatbots, 500,000 pages and 10,000 team members. Starter carries 1 chatbot, 1,000 pages and 1 member. Growth carries up to 2 chatbots, 10,000 pages and 4 team members. Scale carries up to 3 chatbots, 50,000 pages and 10 team members.
The interesting part is the message unit, because it is not a fixed quantity. Starter is written as up to 4,000 messages a month on their smaller model or 400 on their larger one, with any mix in between. Growth is 10,000 of the smaller or 1,000 of the larger. Scale is 40,000 or 4,000. Their own wording is that a message on the larger model is ten times costlier, and the page carries a calculator so you can see your own split. That is unusually honest arithmetic and it is also a decision you have to keep making, because the size of your allowance depends on which model you decided to run.
Two other things are worth reading before comparing anything. A page, in their training limits, is defined as 2,500 cleaned characters of content from your sources, so a 1,000 page ceiling is a character budget rather than a count of URLs. And Remove Branding is an add on rather than a plan feature, listed at plus $39 a month billed $468 yearly, with full white labelling handled by email at a price that varies. There is no free plan; every self serve plan starts with a 7 day free trial and a credit card is required. All of that is what SiteGPT published on the checked date. It moves, so read their pricing page and ours before treating any of it as current.
Reasons to choose SiteGPT instead
Written to be used rather than to be waved at. If any of these describe you, this is the wrong product and the rest of the page will not change that.
- You want to choose how much reasoning each answer gets, and you should be able to. Spending ten times as much per message on a site where a wrong answer is expensive, or taking the volume on a site where throughput matters more, is a real decision with a real trade off, and SiteGPT hands it to you with the exchange rate printed. Nothing on our price list offers that choice at all, and if it matters to you this page is already over.
- Their compliance paperwork exists and ours does not. SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA are stated plainly on their features page. We publish none of the three. If your buyer, your legal review or your industry asks for any of them, that is not a feature comparison, it is a gate.
- The training sources are wider. YouTube videos, playlists and whole channels are named as things you can train on, alongside Notion, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and GitHub. If your best explanations are recorded rather than written, they can index them and we cannot.
- The page ceilings are larger tier for tier, and the unit is defined. 1,000 pages on Starter and 10,000 on Growth, each page being 2,500 cleaned characters, is a bigger and more checkable budget than a page count nobody has defined for you.
- It plugs into a support stack you may already have. Crisp, Slack and Zendesk are native integrations, Functions automate tasks, and Escalate to a Human passes the conversation to a live agent. Askably has no live agent to pass anything to and no native connection to any of those three.
Reasons to choose this one
- The allowance does not change size when you change your mind about a model. Starter is 1,000 replies at $29 a month, Growth is 5,000 at $99, Agency does not meter replies, and there is no exchange rate between a cheap answer and an expensive one for you to manage.
- Our name comes off at $29 and stays off. On their published list, Remove Branding is an add on at plus $39 a month billed $468 yearly, which sits on top of a Starter plan billed at the same $39 a month and $468 a year. Removing a logo doubles the annual figure, and full white labelling is quoted by email rather than printed.
- Numbered references sit under every answer, pointing at the passages the answer was built from. We read their pricing page and their features page and found no claim that a SiteGPT answer shows the visitor where it came from, which is the single largest difference between two otherwise similar products.
- There is a floor, and it is arithmetic. Below the match score you set, the question stops before it reaches any model and the visitor gets the sentence you wrote. That is not a tone instruction and it does not depend on a model choosing to be careful.
- You can start at nothing and stop at any time. Free is $0 for 50 replies a month, the trial needs no card, and the workspace drops to the free tier when it ends. SiteGPT has no free plan and its 7 day trial requires a card up front.
What they published on 8 September 2026
Read off their own site on that date, quoted narrowly. Prices and packaging in this category change often, so treat this as a snapshot and check both before you decide.
| Plan pricing | Starter at $59 a month billed monthly or $468 a year shown as $39 a month; Growth at $129 or $948 a year shown as $79; Scale at $429 or $3,108 a year shown as $259; Enterprise as custom. |
|---|---|

What we could not verify
Listing this is more useful than filling it in. Every line here is something that was not clearly published, or was behind a sign-up.
- The price of an extra message pack was stated twice and the two figures disagree. The add on panel lists Extra 5k Messages at plus $39 a month billed $468 yearly, while the plan breakdown below it says packs of 5,000 additional messages are $59 a month. Which applies to which billing term was not resolved on the page.
- Whether a SiteGPT answer shows the visitor a source, a citation or a link back to the material it used was not claimed anywhere on the pricing page or the features page read.
- What happens when the chatbot has no matching content was not stated. The weekly digest is described as surfacing the questions it could not answer, but the behaviour at the moment of failure is not described.
- White label pricing is contact only, so what full white labelling costs beyond the Remove Branding add on is not published.
Questions
- These look like the same product. What actually differs?
- Three things, and none of them is the core idea. Their allowance is denominated in a model choice and ours is not. Their name comes off for an extra $39 a month and ours comes off at $29 with nothing extra. And we put numbered citations under every answer, where we could find no such claim on their pages.
- Can I pick which model answers my visitors?
- Not here. SiteGPT can, with the cost ratio published, and if that choice matters to you they are the better answer. What you get instead is a match threshold you set yourself, below which no model is called at all.
- How do 1,000 pages there compare with 500 pages here?
- Carefully, because they have defined their unit and the comparison depends on that. A SiteGPT page is 2,500 cleaned characters. Work out roughly how many characters your material runs to before comparing either ceiling with the other.
- Is there a free way to try each?
- Ours is a free tier at $0 for 50 replies a month that does not expire, plus a 14 day Growth trial with no card. Theirs is a 7 day trial with a card required and no free plan underneath it.
