Comparison
Two price lists, and a badge that never leaves
Smartsupp is built for online shops, and its AI knows your catalogue rather than your policies. Before you compare anything else, know this: their help centre states that the Powered by Smartsupp badge is a fixed part of the chat box and cannot be removed or hidden on any plan, paid plans included.
What Smartsupp actually is
Smartsupp sells to online shops and it sells two subscriptions rather than one. The human side starts free forever with one operator, twenty five conversations a month and fourteen days of history across live chat, WhatsApp and Messenger. Solo was listed at $24 a month or $17 a month billed annually with one operator and unlimited conversations. Plus at $35 or $25 annually with three operators and access to their API. Expert at $117 or $83 annually with five or more operators and three websites. Ultimate starts at $280 a month.
Those tiers meter something aimed at your staff rather than your visitors, called AI reply assists: fifty a month on Solo, two hundred and fifty on Plus, five hundred on Expert. That is help for the person typing, not an agent answering on its own.
The agent is the second subscription. Mira AI for a single website was listed at $20 a month or $16 billed annually, covering a hundred to five thousand conversations a month, described as one AI agent working around the clock, knowing up to thirty thousand products, with handover to a human agent included. Unlimited AI agents is custom priced. Their own material describes Mira as a shopping assistant that learns your business, and says it learns about your products directly from your product feed and answers up to eighty percent of common questions, which is a claim about their fleet rather than about your catalogue.
The thing to settle before any price comparison is the badge. Smartsupp's help centre states that the Powered by Smartsupp branding is a fixed part of the chat box and cannot be removed or hidden on any plan, including all paid plans. Annual billing is advertised at up to thirty percent off, the trial is fourteen days with no card, a money back guarantee is stated, and prices are offered in several currencies. All figures were published on the checked date and they move, so check their pricing pages and ours before deciding.
Reasons to choose Smartsupp instead
Written to be used rather than to be waved at. If any of these describe you, this is the wrong product and the rest of the page will not change that.
- You sell products and you have a feed. Mira learns your catalogue straight from that feed and is stated to know up to thirty thousand products, which is a completely different job from reading a returns policy. Askably has no product feed, no catalogue, no stock awareness and no way to recommend an item.
- The agent price is the lowest published figure across every comparison we have written. Sixteen dollars a month billed annually for up to five thousand conversations on one website is remarkable value, and if a small badge on the widget genuinely does not bother you, that alone should decide it.
- Your customers message you on WhatsApp and Messenger, and both are in the free plan rather than behind an upgrade. Nothing here answers a single message anywhere but your own website.
- You want the AI helping the people who already answer. AI reply assists are metered per plan and pointed at the operator, and Smartsupp is clear that the human stays in the loop. There is no colleague facing assistance of any kind on this side.
- Buying matters as much as the product. Smartsupp publishes prices in several currencies, states a money back guarantee, and gives you fourteen days without a card. That is a low risk way into the category and it deserves to be counted.
Reasons to choose this one
- Our name comes off, and it comes off cheaply. Every paid tier from $29 a month upwards ships with no vendor branding on the widget and no white label surcharge at any price. Smartsupp's own help centre says its badge cannot be removed or hidden on any plan.
- One subscription with one meter. Smartsupp splits the humans and the agent into two price lists with two separate allowances running underneath each other. Here $29 buys 1,000 replies, $99 buys 5,000, $299 stops counting replies altogether, and there is nothing else to add on.
- Answers show their working. Numbered references point at the passages behind each reply, so a claim that cannot be traced back to something you indexed does not get made in the first place.
- Below the match threshold you set, the request stops before the model is reached and the visitor receives the fallback sentence you wrote. Retrieved text is treated as data throughout, never as instructions the assistant should follow.
- The widget looks like your site rather than like ours, down to custom CSS, with the launcher in a closed shadow root and the panel in a separate frame so it cannot collide with your styles.

What we could not verify
Listing this is more useful than filling it in. Every line here is something that was not clearly published, or was behind a sign-up.
- The cost of an additional operator on the Expert plan was shown only as a starting figure in a different currency to the plan prices, so what a larger team actually pays was not readable.
- Smartsupp has long been associated with visitor session recordings. No recordings feature was named on any current page we read on the checked date, so nothing is claimed here about whether it is still offered.
- How a Mira AI conversation is counted, and what happens when the monthly conversation range is exceeded, was not defined on the pricing page.
Questions
- Can it recommend a product from my shop?
- No. There is no product feed, no catalogue import, no stock or price lookup and no basket awareness. It answers from documents and pages you indexed. If selling the right item is the job, Mira is built for it and this is not.
- How much does removing your branding cost?
- Nothing beyond the plan. It is included from $29 a month upwards, and the only tier that carries our name is the free one. There is no separate white label fee at any price.
- Does it help my agents write replies?
- No. There is no operator console, no reply assist and no drafting for staff, because there are no staff in the widget. It answers the visitor or it refuses and takes their details.
- Is my catalogue a good thing to index here?
- Usually not. Product listings change constantly and index badly, and stale prices are worse than no answer. Point it at policies, shipping, returns, guarantees and specifications, and leave live product data to something that reads a feed.
